Make PhoneSoap Part of Your Skin Care

I'm here to drop some truth on you guys. Your phone is giving your face acne. It's sad but it's true.

The area where you place your phone to talk on your phone known as the "phone zone" is prone to breakouts. During the day your phone collects germs and bacteria and those germs and bacteria are transferred to your skin.

"Here's the thing, bacteria is one of the main causes of acne, which is why it's important to clean off your screen regularly," says Debra Jaliman, M.D., an NYC-based dermatologist and author of Skin Rules: Trade Secrets From a Top New York Dermatologist. "Anytime a patient comes in complaining about acne, the first thing I ask them is what side of their face they usually hold their phone against."

"What happens when you hold your phone up to your face is that there is a mechanical stimulation (the pressure against the oil glands) that triggers them to produce more oil," says Jaliman. "Then, the bacteria from the screen — and the heat that it gives off that breeds more bacteria — mixes together and results in a blemish."

Sanitizing your phone from all bacteria and germs is your first step to saying goodbye to your face acne. PhoneSoap will do that for you! While you're washing your face, make sure you drop your phone into PhoneSoap for a good clean.
